We define safety using four key principles.

• Flash Light - This is a 19 part holistic approach to understanding the concept of leadership.

• Efficiency - Faster turnaround in repair time, fewer work related injuries, and more streamlined processes.

• Maintenance - Always adhering to best practices in maintenance. Providing lower depreciation costs, and greater retention of aviation assets.

• Attitude - Instilling Esprit de Corps or Pride of Work, improving focus on tasks and creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm around safety

Concepts of the Safety Management System (SMS) that is recognized by the Joint Planning and Development Office (JPDO), International Civil Aviation Oganization (ICAO), has been proven in the aviation arena at four separate locations: Jordan, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kuwait.

Emphasis on some of these concepts can save aviation organizations millions of dollars, create a safety culture that is cohesive, and leadership teams that are very influential. IADA believes that Aviation Safety is always an evolving process to prevent complacency.
